This school year has been exciting, interesting and downright odd. We’ve had our ups, we’ve had our downs, and we’ve had everything in between. Now that we are nearing the end, the Good Wolf has compiled a number of events that occurred this year to make a year-in-review.

Aladdin Jr. was the musical this year. Directed by Mrs. Adams, the show was a massive success. It told the story of Aladdin, a impoverished boy in the Middle Eastern kingdom of Agrabah and his adventures with the help of a Genie, who is imprisoned in a magic lamp and forced to answer to the wishes of his new master. The cast consisted of 7th grader Aidan Poletis as the title character, 6th grader Onalee Wells as the Genie, 8th grader Naa’Irah Barnard as Jasmine, 7th graders Tavius Anderson and Nina Perez as Jafar and Iago, and 7th grader Dylan Saganiec as the Sultan.

The third marking period Thank You event was a school dance held in the gym. A student came up with the idea because the date of the event coincided with Valentine’s Day. The music was chosen by vote of the Family Time Friday classes.

Family Time Friday was a concept that was put into place this year. The idea is that at CAP, a teacher gets a certain number of students from different grades and they do different activities to build the “family atmosphere” Attales is trying to convey. On Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, they cleaned up outside Attales. In February, they came up with the dance playlist.

In conclusion, this year has been an interesting experience. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we picked up the pieces and began to rebuild. Everyone is family in this school. We hope to see you next year, and if we don’t, good luck.
