Emma K., Zidane A., Paige M., and Farhan A. were the champions for each grade level when Attales held its Spelling Bee on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Farhan won the Spelling Bee and 8th grader, Ryan S., was the runner-up. The judges were Mr. Evans, Ms. Francisco, and Ms. McCully. 

In order to decide who competed, teachers held Spelling Bees during classes. These Spelling Bees used the same words that were used in the school-wide Spelling Bee.

Teachers had the opportunity to take their classes to watch the Bee while it was happening. After the first 70 minutes, there was a break and many students left.

The Spelling Bee continued well into the second class of the day before the winner was announced. Since Farhan won the Bee, he will be moving on to the regional Spelling Bee.
