February has a lot of famous birthdays for being the most uncommon month to be born in and one of the rarest too. A lot of famous people were born in February like Harry Styles, Jennifer Aniston, and Alec Brightman but one of my favorite is Sophia Lillis. Sophia Lillis played Beverly Marsh in IT one and two in 2017 and 2019 and Sydney Novak in I Am Not Okay With This in 2020, but those are just some of the more well known roles she has played. Some other roles that she had acted for are Doric in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves in 2023 and about 7 other movies.

Sophia Lillis was born on February 13, 2002. Sophia Lillis grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn with her twin brother Jake Lillis and her Parents Juliana and David Lillis. Sophia’s parents are Divorced but there is sadly no articles or evidence on her parents being divorced. We do know that she has a stepfather named Christopher Mellevole who is a photographer and filmmaker. Sophia’s stepfather is who helped her start her career in acting, Sophia’s stepfather encouraged her to take acting classes at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Manhattan. Sophia was 7 years old when she started acting. She was studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute when a teacher recommended her for a role in an NYU student film.

Lillis’ first major project she was a part of was the first IT as Beverly Marsh and she was only 13 about 14 when she played Beverly Marsh. Some fun facts about Lillis time filming it are that she had her first kiss with Jaeden Martell while filming and Lillis had to wear extensions for her first scene because she already had a pixie cut. Lillis is sadly not in any upcoming film but the last film she was in was Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves in 2023.
