Student Council

Do any of you want to join Student Council? If so, I’ve got information for you! Mrs. Carver is in charge of Student Council, and she filled me in on what it is all about. In Student Council, members can come up with ideas and share them as well as concerns. It also raises money and awareness for school activities, events, and projects, such as working on school climate, creating posters, Black History Month, and the Great Kindness Challenge. Another part of Student Council are the Attales Ambassadors, who work to help new students. Now the Student Council is working on arranging a potential school dance this spring.

Maintained by president Cici Knights and Mrs. Carver, student council aims to make supplemental clubs and activities for students. Supplemental means to add to what is currently provided. This is to acknowledge leadership, gaining independence, preparation for high school, and permitting students to have a voice. Cici Knights claimed, “The significance of student council is to come together and put our difference behind us and collaborate our own ideas to make our school a welcoming environment.” Students come across struggles like assignments, bullies, getting along with others, and stress. Since not all students have transportation, they meet at CAP two times a month in the gym. If you are interested in participating, join Student Council.
